CONVENTION CENTER

MOBILE, ALABAMA

The convention center serves as a major business hub for the Mobile, Al area. The form of the convention center takes que from the Chickasaw River at the rear of the site. The edges were rounded, and a facade were designed taking inspiration from insect wings. As guests enter the center, they experience an underpass allowing them to be fully immersed into the site experience.

The design features several exterior walking paths to allow guests to access other areas of the center without disturbing ongoing events. The convention center features warm interiors and large opening vistas over the Chickasaw River. The center allows for an abundance of controlled natural spaces. The layout was designed to create a variety of open spaces which not only serve as corridors but also have the flexibility to be used as additional event or trade space.

On the rooftop, the center features a butterfly garden serving as outdoor event space.
